Northumbria WW1 Commemoration Project

Building on the success of the original Tynemouth Project, and with the help of a second HLF grant, the new Northumbria WW1 Commemoration Project aims to expand the research beyond the former Tynemouth Borough and build on the online database to cover men and women from the other towns of and outlying communities of North Tyneside Metropolitan Borough. Guided by the experienced Tynemouth team, new volunteers will research the stories of men from Wallsend, Whitley Bay, Killingworth and outlying former mining communities within the current Metropolitan Borough of North Tyneside.

Kimmerston Design will continue to support the new project and help with future promotions wherever possible.
