Tynemouth and Northumbria World War One Commemoration Projects

Being a business based in North Shields, Kimmerston Design is proud to support the Tynemouth WW1 Commemoration Project. Beginning in 2010 the Project was set up to research the 2,000 men listed in the Tynemouth Borough Roll of Honour, who were killed or died as a direct result of the First World War 1914-1918. In 2015 the project was awarded a second Heritage Lottery Fund grant to enable further research into casualties from beyond the former Borough of Tynemouth boundaries into Wallsend, Whitley Bay, Killingworth and other outlying communities of North Tyneside. To accommodate the expansion of its reach the Tynemouth Project was renamed the Northumbria WW1 Commemoration Project.

Kimmerston Design continues to assist the Project team and researchers with design support, artwork, graphics and print for a wide range of promotional items such as leaflets, posters, tickets, displays, books and the exclusive 'Tyneside Tommy' beer bottle labels.
